Mogán West is an advanced dive site off the southwestern coast of Gran Canaria near Puerto de Mogán, reaching 17 meters depth. Despite the moderate depth, the site is rated advanced due to boat-only access and potential current exposure along this exposed Atlantic coastline. The volcanic reef features dramatic rock formations and overhangs where large groupers, moray eels, and angel sharks are regularly found. The clear southwestern waters provide excellent visibility, and the reef supports diverse Atlantic species including trumpetfish, parrotfish, and dense schools of salema. Mogán's position at the junction of currents creates nutrient-rich waters that attract impressive marine life to this scenic corner of Gran Canaria.
