Como II Wreck is an advanced wreck dive off the southwestern coast of Gran Canaria near Puerto de Mogán, resting at 30 meters depth. This cargo vessel was intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef and dive attraction, and has become richly colonized by Atlantic marine life. The wreck's superstructure is covered in sponges, hydroids, and anemones, while large conger eels and moray eels inhabit the interior compartments. Schools of barracuda and amberjack circle above the wreck, and angel sharks occasionally rest on the surrounding sandy bottom. The depth and potential currents demand advanced certification, but the Como II offers one of Gran Canaria's most impressive wreck diving experiences.
