Scogli di Mortoriotto is an advanced dive site near Tavolara Island in northeast Sardinia, where a cluster of submerged rocks creates a complex underwater landscape. The granite formations plunge into deep blue water, their surfaces colonized by vibrant red coral, gorgonian fans, and golden zoanthids. Strong currents frequently sweep the site, bringing nutrient-rich water that sustains impressive populations of barracuda, amberjack, and dentex. The rocky terrain offers countless swim-throughs and overhangs where groupers shelter and lobsters emerge at dusk. Eagle rays are seasonal visitors, gliding gracefully over the pinnacles. This exposed site demands solid buoyancy skills and current management, rewarding experienced divers with some of Tavolara's most dramatic underwater scenery.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
