Turtle Head is a beginner-friendly dive site along the Amalfi Coast near Positano, named for a distinctive rock formation resembling a sea turtle's head emerging from the water. Below the surface, volcanic boulders create sheltered areas where octopus, moray eels, and colorful nudibranchs thrive. Posidonia meadows border the rocky reef, providing nursery habitat for juvenile fish. The gentle slope and typically calm conditions make this an ideal introduction to Amalfi Coast diving, with the dramatic cliffside coastline providing a breathtaking surface interval backdrop.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
