Le Chalutier is a trawler wreck site in the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, named for the engine block and heavy equipment that still rest on the sand at around 25 metres. The area has been colonised by reef life for long enough to feel like an extension of the natural coral. Expect groupers of good size tucked into the machinery, schooling snappers in the blue above the sand, queen angelfish patrolling the hull lines, and moray eels using the cable conduits as homes. PADI Advanced Open Water is the honest baseline. Best conditions December through May.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
