Sec de la Gabinière

Sec de la Gabinière is an underwater pinnacle rising from the deep near the famous Tombant de la Gabinière at Port-Cros. This submerged rock formation creates a current-swept gathering point that concentrates marine life in spectacular fashion. The shallower top of the sec is suitable for intermediate divers and offers dense fish aggregations including barracuda, amberjack, and bream. Gorgonian fans and bright sponges decorate the rock surfaces, while the protected waters of the national park ensure remarkably healthy ecosystems.
