Les Roches Trompettes is an advanced dive site in the Estérel massif offshore area near Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël, featuring dramatic red porphyry rock formations descending to 38 meters. The Estérel's distinctive crimson volcanic rock creates a visually striking underwater landscape of pinnacles, arches, and canyons unlike anywhere else on the French coast. The rocky structures host rich communities of gorgonian fans, yellow sponges, and tube worms, while the crevices shelter moray eels, conger eels, and large scorpionfish. Schools of barracuda and amberjack patrol the surrounding blue water. This site showcases the unique geological heritage of the Estérel coast and delivers a colorful, fish-rich dive for experienced divers.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
