Waikiki is a popular shore dive site in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, easily accessible from the beach near the old town harbor. This beginner-friendly site features a gentle sandy slope transitioning into volcanic rock formations, creating a diverse underwater terrain perfect for exploration. Divers regularly spot cuttlefish hovering over the sand, octopuses camouflaged among the rocks, and schools of parrotfish grazing on algae. The site is particularly famous for its resident angel sharks that rest on the sandy patches during winter months. Calm conditions and shallow depths make Waikiki an excellent choice for training dives and underwater photography.
