Tobia Hamra is an intermediate reef near Safaga reaching 30 meters, known as 'Red Tobia' for its distinctive reddish coral formations. The reef features a coral-covered plateau descending to a sandy slope with excellent visibility. Schools of surgeonfish, parrotfish, and butterflyfish patrol the reef, while green turtles are frequently spotted resting on the ledges. The deeper sections reveal gorgonians and large barrel sponges. A classic Safaga offshore dive accessible by boat with reliable marine life encounters.
