Twin Lake in central Alberta is a deep freshwater dive reaching 37 meters, making it one of the region's more challenging lake dives. This advanced site features significant depth with thermal stratification creating distinct temperature layers as divers descend. The lake's depths harbor interesting geological formations and the remains of submerged trees from when the area was flooded. Cold bottom temperatures and limited visibility at depth require proper technical training, while shallower areas offer gentler exploration among boreal fish species.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
