
Tay Cay is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Port Stephens area, NSW. At 8 meters depth, this sheltered reef offers easy and relaxed diving with a variety of temperate marine life. The shallow rocky reef supports sponge gardens, kelp beds, and various invertebrates. Wobbegong sharks, octopus, and nudibranchs are commonly encountered. The calm conditions make it popular for training dives, snorkeling, and introductory dive experiences.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
